Project #2

Soooo I've been slacking on my posts. I blame this on school and the amount of school work I had to do.

Anyways, because of school, I have only been able to do two more projects since the last time I posted.

Project #2 is knitting!
I've been knitting this scarf for a little while now. Going tomake myself a nice infinity scarf
I loveee the colours of the yarn and how they are coming together in my scarf. It's definitely really autumny/fall. Hopefully I will be able to finish this scarf before winter comes... something tells me I won't, but I always try to look at the bright side of things :)

It's super duper cute! And I can't wait to do my next one! I have sooo many different ideas already! :)

DIY mood

Lately, I've been in a serious diy mood. I found sooo many things i want to start making! I just wish I have the time. But there is one that I am definitely going to make next weekend.

Since I have this crazy obsession with owls, what better way to love owls but carry one with me everywhere I go!

It's an owl key chain and holder! How awesome is that?! :D

Once I'm done, I shall post up the finishing product! I can't wait :)

Found this on My Owl Barn :)

Good morning fellow bloggers,

A couple of months ago, I read a couple of great DIYs, and thought I can give those a try. It not only was fun, but it also gave me something to do during my long and boring summer days.

My first DIY project was a Flower Halo.

Check out the blog I found this in!

Enjoy! <3

So much has changed this past week. Loosing some weight for one. lol.
New haircut, new summer :)

I've also been doing a lot of shopping (Figures)
Went Downtown last week and while i was in Holts, I found myself a lovely pair of Michael Kors flats that i am DYING to purchase. If only i didn't have to pay for school as well as pay my mother back for my plane ticket to Vancouver.

I am also thinking about doing some more DIYsbut I'm not sure what to do just yet. Anyone have any ideas?
Last month (while "studying" for exams, I madea lovely flower headband, which i will post up soontimes. I learned how to make this lovely bracelet, so maybe that's what I will be doing :)

Aren't these just GORG? Can't wait till I come back and work my butt off for these guys <3

A Little Bit of Lace

Good Afternoon fellow bloggers. It's finally Sunday, and I must say I've had an eventful weekend.
Thursday night, I've decided to try something really neat and different.
I read in a fashion magazine a few months ago, and it showed me this really cool trick to have super cray nails. They're basically lace nails! :)

Here a picture of the finished product! It's super cool but really hard to do.
Here's what you need!
- Some lace
- White or Nude colour nail polish
- Clear nail polish
- Scissors

first you cut pieces of lace to match your finger nail size. This is what took me the longest to do. I found that if you use a piece of paper to make the template of your nails, it's a lot easier to cut the lace.
Once that is all done, start applying the white or nude colour nail polish. I would put two or three coats on. As the nail polish is startingto dry. put the lace onto your finger. and gently pushing the lace down so that it sticks onto your finger nails.
Once you've accomplish all 10 fingers, slap on layers and layers of clear nail polish on. If you find that there are bits and pieces of lace sticking out, NOT TO WORRY! It looks a nicer if your lace doesnt look perfect. Gives it a little bit of edge to it ;D
So yes, make sure you put layers and layers of clear nail polish on and once that is all dried, you can then begin to cut the little pieces of lace out. I found it easier to use fabric scissors, as lace is a type of fabric.
It did take me like a day or two for the lace to finally set in. By that, I mean like the lace would start to fray at the tip of the nails. All you need to do is cut them off and start applying some more clear coat on.
But your result looks fabulous! It's a really neat way to change up your boring old nail polish colours. this way, it gives more of a chic look to your outfits :)
Plus it is cheap to do too! Unlike the cool OPI katy perry one, where they cost like $20 for a bottle of nail polish lol.

Clear Nail Polish - Rimmel London $3
Pink/Nude Nail Polish - Essie $4.50
Black Lace - From Fabricland $1.50/m (You only need a metre, if not half a metre)

ps. you don't have to use black lace with white/nude nail polish. Once you've mastered this technique, you can try using white lace with black nail polish. Or anything other colours :)

Happy Painting!

Today is going to be a crazy hectic day. Some classtime, then volunteering for my assignment. Oh, and not to mention theweather that is coming my way this afternoon.
So anyway. As I'm sitting in classrightnow, I am clearly not paying attention and doing some online window shopping instead. I have found some really lovely pieces that is a must have for my spring wardrobe.
Some few key pieces have caught my eye. pairing them with something simple will make a nice chic outfit. Not to mention, you can combine florals with prints if matched correctly. I definitely cannot wait till I go shopping for my spring wardrobe. :)

Springtime Shorts - Forever 21 $21.80

Rose Garden Top - Forever 21 $12.50

Arbour - Aldo - $35

Infinite Iris Tank - Anthropologie $58

Pair these florals with a nice nude pair of flats would be a great finishing touch to your outfit ! :)
Cranstona - Aldo $30

ps. here's something fun and exciting that I did at school today. We have these spiral stairs and if you stand in the middle at the bottom, looking up is pretty cool :)

Animal Obsession!

So lately, after reading tons and tons of fashion magazines, i've come to the realization that i really like prints. Like a printed leopard cardigan would be fantastic to have for spring. Not to mention a nice zebra print shirt. Not too sure why i have such an obsession, but it looks soo much fun! I love belting, and nothing works better than a nice skinny black belt for the tops. :)

1. Juicy Couture - Metallic Leopard Print Clutch $88

2. Dolce&Gabbana - Leopard Print Cardigan $1355

3. Gucci - Zebra Print Silk Georgette Shirt $1395

ps. i clearly like to shop big :) no better of shopping lol

So it's been a while i since i've been on my blog. i suppose with school and work, i tend to forget the little fun things i do on the side. so much has happened this year. 2010 was definitely quite interesting. for one, i my first tattoo. Imagine for John Lennon's song. I am now currently designing my second one. hoenstly, when people say once you have one, you get addicted to tattoos. that is so true. i don't like the idea of a needle poking through my skin, but i do love the end result !

I've been watching a lot of those home decoration shows. I am truly motivated to fix up my room and possibly my house. there's just so many great ideas. i can't wait to start renovating! it's going to be quite a journey. :)
